At FreeVolt, we’re reimagining home energy efficiency with an innovative air conditioning system powered by advanced thermal storage.
Designed specifically for Australian homes, our solution tackles one of the biggest energy challenges: peak demand. Space conditioning (heating and cooling) and hot water account for over 60% of household energy use — most of it during peak load times.
Our technology shifts energy use to off-peak hours, storing it for use when grid demand is highest. This not only helps reduce peak load but also delivers low-cost, low-emissions heating and cooling, cutting household energy bills and emissions.
We’re based at the National Innovation Centre in Eveleigh, proudly supported by Cicada Innovations and the NSW Office of the Chief Scientist and Engineer (OCSE).
